"Don and I had been meeting for a short time while working on the initial Grindlestone music...and Don had a piece or two he asked me to add guitar to. The first pieces were for the Spaceship Eyes CD Of Cosmic Repercussions. Then, I contributed to a couple of pieces on the Spirits Burning CD Reflections In A Radio Shower."
Recording For Earth Born
"My guitar for the 2 pieces I'm on were recorded early on in the development of those pieces....2nd or 3rd instrument - I can't remember. I recorded my guitar in my home studio. For these tracks, I used my old DigiTech GSP2101 into my computer running Pro Tools, with no processing of the sound after it left the 2101.
Because we all record our parts separately, one after the other, there's no way to know what the others will add over your part. It's an interesting process because you have to leave room open for others to add to. Since my part was an early building block, I tried to keep it simple but simple with my own guitar style."

"Finally after 7 or 8 years of starting pieces and throwing them out, we finally got to a point of throwing out stuff and starting new stuff, and continually not doing the Fripp/Eno idea that Jeff was probably thinking we would do, and we came up with this more of a dark ambient industrial CD."
