Involvement with Spirits Burning

"I began my involvement with the original Spirits Burning of the 80s. I did live sound for them at gigs. Eventually, I was responsible for them recording a demo at Hyde Street Studios (in San Francisco) where I was a second engineer and receptionist.

Musically, I've been involved on every CD - a track here and there. I've been a vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist and percussionist."

Recording For Earth Born

(Karen sings on Sarah's Surprise and Hit The Moon)

"Well, it wasn't easy singing with Bridget. I kinda just sang around her.

I got my dog, Indy involved too. Don for some odd reason put her in the studio room right before I was to sing. It was a warmish day and being in a closed-windowed studio made it even warmer. So she was panting hard. While I was recording "Sarah's Surprise" I bent the mic down to her when there was an open break. Sounded kinda good to me anyway - a percussion part if you can imagine."
